Syzygy is a Dayton SF readers club that selects a new book monthly.
Formed in the summer of 1990, the USS Camelot (NCC-2307) is primarily a local Star Trek fan club. When it was originally founded, it was affiliated with Starfleet, an international organization of Star Trek fans. In the past few years, they have been independent. Activities include parties, picnics, campouts, fundraisers, field trips, and convention work.
The USS Bismarck is the local chapter of STARFLEET COMMAND, an international Star Trek fan association. The Bismarck is based in Middletown. Activities include parties, camp outs, support of a local community food pantry, working with the VA Hospital, and working with Middletown's recycling program, to name a few.
The Dayton Animation Club is a local club for fans of anime (Japanese animation). Members attend screenings of various anime series, which have been imported and (mostly) dubbed into English.
